Definition: New to Service
Updated over 3 months ago

Definition

The number of clients who attend an individual appointment with a different service (profession) for the first time.

Note: They are not new clients to the clinic, they are new clients to the service.

Example 1

Johnny is a client who has seen the physiotherapist (Daniel) for 8 visits. Daniel is now referring Johnny to his colleague within the same clinic for Podiatry care. The podiatrists name is Shane. Therefore Johnny is starting his journey with a new service within the clinic - Podiatry. Johnny is not a new client to the clinic, but is a ''new client'' to Shane the Podiatrist - we want to call this metric, New to Service.

Note: If Johnny returns to Daniel later, it will not be counted as a New to Service for Daniel because it’s not the FIRST time he visits Daniel.

Example 2

Jenny is attending her first ever appointment at the clinic.

She is booked to see David the physiotherapist.

Jenny is considered a ‘New Client’ but not ‘New to Service’.
