โSigns of a good practitioner is that they take quality notes about the appointments they deliver and have a clear plan for how they're going to help their patients make meaningful progress.
It gives the clients certainty that they're in the right place and that there's a plan moving forward and it allows the therapist themselves to run really good consultations.
And when they're not completing those notes in a timely fashion it can signify a number of things. Notably we see that perhaps they're not running their appointments on time so they're not able to get to their notes, or there's a flow and effect through the course of their day about how they're managing their diaries that means they don't get to complete their notes at the end of any given shift or day.
So tracking how many notes for a client are outstanding is a really good sign of time management and performance as a practitioner, that if you are getting timely notes done it is good for the client, it's a good on the practitioner has flow. And of course for any auditing or compliance needs you need to have proof of what you've done and a completed treatment note is so important as evidence in that case.
Now this is a new stat that we've added inside Allie. It's a stat that you get inside Cliniko known as 'draft treatment notes', meaning they haven't been completed or committed to.
And over in Allie we can see at a clinic level and most notably, at a practitioner level. In this example I'm with Ryan, I can see how many outstanding treatment notes does Ryan have today and there are 23. We can see that weekly average is about 12 and if we look at the appointments on average we're seeing about 17 appointments per week. There's not a very good completion rate and this trend shows us that it's starting to blow out.
Now this is a really good insight for our mentoring of Ryan is to look at his time management to look at how can we make notes easier, perhaps using some AI tools, templates, or predictive text. How can we make sure that he's able to do them in a way that feels easy and still maintains the high level of quality that you're looking for?
So this is a new stat that we've just added to Allie that adds to some of these other metrics that enable you to get a good understanding as to how your practitioners are performing. And of course, creating the great reputation for themselves by delivering quality care.
We're looking forward to hearing and seeing the stories of you focusing on this stat in your mentoring and getting the improvements every day, every week with your practitioners so that they improve satisfaction and outcomes for the clients that are ultimately serving.
Alright, we'll see you on the other side of this. Let me know. If you have any questions.
