Allie and Xero Data flow
Allie empowers clinics to optimise their business and practitioner performance through data-driven insights. Seamless Xero integration automatically retrieves and synchronises important employee data like payslips and timesheets, ensuring everything stays up-to-date.
Setting up Xero with Allie
Connecting Xero to Allie is easy!
New to Allie?
During the onboarding process, simply click the "Connect" button for Xero. A window will appear with clear instructions on how to link your account. Follow the steps and once you click "Next", you'll be redirected to the Xero login page.
Existing Allie User?
Login to Allie.
Navigate to "Settings" and then the "Integrations" tab
Click the "Connect Xero account" button and you'll be directed to the Xero login page.
Important Note:
To ensure Allie can access employee and payroll information, you must log in using your Xero Payroll Admin account with the "Advisor" role for "Business and Accounting."
Connecting Your Account:
Once logged in to Xero, you may be prompted to select the specific Xero organisation you want to connect to Allie (if you manage multiple businesses). Allie will request view access to your organisation's data, including:
Employees
Pay Runs
Payslips
Payroll Settings
Timesheets
Organisation Settings
User Account Information
Granting Access:
Click "Allow Access" to proceed. Upon successful connection, you'll be redirected back to Allie.
Using Xero
What does this connection do:
Allie acts as a viewer for your Xero data. This means it can access and display information but cannot modify anything within Xero.
Data Accessed by Allie:
Employees
Pay Runs
Payslips
Payroll Settings
Timesheets
Organisation Settings
User Account Information
What Allie cannot do:
Allie will never modify any data within your Xero account. Your Xero API keys are securely encrypted within Allie's database and are solely used to retrieve information - they are never stored in plain text.

Disconnecting Xero from Allie
If you need to disconnect Xero from Allie, follow these easy steps:
Login to Allie.
Navigate to "Settings" and then the "Integrations" tab
Click the "Disconnect Xero account" button
Troubleshooting XERO
Xero connection incomplete?
Login to Allie
Go to "Settings/Integrations"
Click "Disconnect Xero account" and wait for the button to refresh
Click "Connect Xero account" to re-authenticate and connect to Xero
